To familiarize you with this website, you can skip down to Introduction to this Website rather than going through the Table of Contents below. I have placed the following at the bottom of the page because you won't need to refer to those too much in the future...
There are other notes to work on in each page on the website (see Navigation Bar on top for the list of pages and subpages).
Migrate all of my OneNote - Estate Planning notes to Google Drive so Genye and Susam don't have to open OneNote.
Create a Google docs for all of the spreadsheets etc rather than on OneDrive..
Have a will notarized. I developed an updated will for each of us in March 2025 but we have not been out where we can go to a notary.
Eventually, we will replace the will with a more comprehensive Trust.
Note that on this website that you click on the TOP link in the navigation bar, not just the drop down lists.
Instructions on all bills and income in Banks spreadsheet.
Move documents to Google drive and figure how to update onto subpages: spreadsheets, etc.
Can I do same with OneNote? to embed?
Do Google search for checklists on preparation for death... What to set up (to make sure did not miss anything in this website).
Review all files, purge what's not needed. (separately we will have a portable file for important papers... That way, it can be carried to the estate attorney if necessary.)
For more, see Preparation page.
Password list and Sticky Notes (see First Things First below)
Review photos to show at memorial service or funeral home.

Dear Genye and Susan -
It's been a great life we've shared together. We'll see each other again on the other side.
I wrote out these instructions on a web page rather than a Word document so that you can view it on your iPhone or iPad. Separately, I will provide written instructions on how to open this web page, but won't print out all the information which is on this website because (a) I can update the website as necessary, whereas a written document would become dated and obsolete, and (b) all the links I've embedded on this website make it easy to navigate to particular actions that need to be accomplished
You can always refer to this page on your iPhone or iPad by typing in estate.johnswindle.com. That takes you to this website.
Familiarize yourself with the entire website first by just skimming through each page without studying any detail. Right now, you just need to know where everything is. Start with these sections below:
I recommend you click on all the links at the top of the page to familiarize yourself with the navigation. Note that there are drop-down menus for some of the topics. Click on the topic itself to view it... the drop down topics are subtopics.
The following are programs on my computers which you'll need...
You can view these two programs on the lower tray of the desktop...
When you turn on the computer, hit the space bar and it will pop up a window to type in the above number.
All of my passwords are located in this app on the computer: Sticky Password.
It looks in the lower tray like this ------------------------------------------------------------->>
Login: Type the password into the window. (I will tell you this separately, keep this in a safe place... it starts with Tow.....)
Microsoft OneNote is the program I use to document practically everything! It will be referred to often in this website.
To find something in OneNote, on any of my computers, click on the link in the bottom tray that looks like this ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------>>
Also it is available on the web, so whenever there is a link to a specific page, it will take you to the website login for Microsoft, but it's easier to just view it on this computer.
In the top right of each page is a Search Window, just enter the term and it will find it throughout OneNote even if it's just on a page rather than a title of a page. Then below that, you'll find each page that search term is listed.
For example, here is a search of USAA Login... After you enter the last letter (e.g. "n" in "Login"), it will display in a window which will open below: "Recent Picks" (a page with that title), "Body Containing Phrase" (the whole term "USAA Life", and "On Page" (any page which includes any word in the search, such as in this case, any page containing "USAA" or "Life".
